The 500 'Babushka & Bloom' series is another favourite from Pilgrim's past. The metal work has a characterful and intentional vintage patina and it is burnished/oxidized which gives it a lovely aged feel. The decoration is hand applied.

Pilgrim, though we never actually asked them, must have been ill-informed as Babushka actually means 'Grandmother' or 'Old Woman' in Russian. The actual word they should have used is 'matryoshka'.

Engraved/impressed details and flowers that have been carefully hand enamelled in cream, beige and dark chocolate brown. The Babushka doll hinges and opens fully, shuts firmly with the aid of extremely strong magnets. Doll measures 4 cm/40 mm x 3 cm/30 mm. Chain length 30 inches/76 cm to an adjustable 33 inches/83 cm.
