Really good heavy quality, with glass inserts, in rhodium silver, beautifully detailed flowers in white pearl enamel with clear Austrian crystal centres.

Madame de Pompadour, hand painted original presented under glass with a very fine quality bronze frame. 18 cm x 13 cm. This pretty painting is after Francis Boucher by 'Reynold'. French. The frame is very fine quality and has a lovely aged patina. Glass is intact but may have been replaced. This is a finely detailed painting by a competent hand. I haven't had the picture out so there is a little dust etc trapped under the glass. You can see discernible brush strokes upon close inspection. Watercolour painted on bone, was very common in the 1700 to 1800s.
