You may know this series as 'velvet', we couldn't understand the reasons behind this as they don't contain velvet. We re-named it 'Watercolour Flower' as they use watercolour enamels to add depth and interest to the design.
The metal plates have been oxidised, which is a process that darkens the metal colour and adds darker highlights to the finely cast details. The most common of Pilgrim's metal finishes.
